Cookie Policy
Last Updated: 2026-09-28
This website does not set cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to ask you to accept. This policy explains what we do instead, and what the one exception is.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners.
Most websites use them to recognise you between visits. This one does not.
How We Measure Traffic Instead
We still want to know which pages are useful, so we use two analytics tools. Neither stores anything on your device from this website:
Fathom Analytics
Measures overall site traffic. Fathom is privacy-first and cookieless: it sets no cookies, collects no personal data, does not fingerprint you, and never tracks you across other websites. It produces aggregate statistics only.
PostHog
Records a small number of specific actions — for example, viewing our pricing page or submitting the waitlist form — so we can tell which parts of the site are useful. On this website it runs in a cookieless mode: it stores nothing on your device, records no session replay, and keeps no identifier between page loads, so each pageview is anonymous and unlinked to any other.
Because neither tool keeps an identifier between page loads, we cannot follow an individual around this website or recognise you when you return. We see totals, not people.
The One Exception
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from bots and malicious traffic. It is used only for security, carries no advertising or analytics purpose, and cannot be used to identify you. Cookies of this kind do not require consent, which is why you are not asked to accept anything.
What We Do Not Do
- We set no advertising or marketing cookies, and run no advertising networks on this site.
- We do not sell or share your browsing data with third parties.
- We do not record your screen or use session replay on this website.
- We do not track you across other websites.
The Petto Health App
This policy covers our public website. The Petto Health app, where you sign in and manage your pets' records, is a separate service: it necessarily uses cookies to keep you signed in, and has its own consent controls. Those are explained when you use it.
Controlling Cookies Yourself
There is nothing here for you to opt out of, but you can still control cookies for any website through your browser.
Browser Settings
You can control and/or delete cookies through your browser settings. Here are links to cookie management instructions for popular browsers:
Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that tells websites you do not want your activity tracked. We honour it: when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we record no analytics events at all.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
